Introduction
LifeWave’s IceWave patches are a natural pain relief solution. Natural means, non-transdermal (nothing goes into your skin). Natural means there are no contraindications with any existing medications. Natural means, designed to work with your bodies energetic meridian flows. (Acupuncture isn’t woo-woo, there is science to back it up)

How do they work?

The LifeWave patches use phototherapy! Phototherapy is an old technology – consider how spending time in the sun causes your body to create Vitamin D, consider the rise in red light therapy. These are examples of outside sources of light causing an effect on the body

The LifeWave patches reflect the body’s heat and light back to itself. Instead of relying on an outside source of light you simply wear the patch all day. (Much more convenient)

Let’s learn how to use them!

IceWave v. other LifeWave Patches

All of the LifeWave patches utilize phototherapy, however, there is something that makes IceWave different. The IceWave patch has fast results! The rest of the LifeWave patches are designed to stimulate your body’s natural wellness over time.

IceWave is designed to allow the flow of energy where it was blocked due to pain. As soon as the energy signals are altered there may be a near-immediate release from pain. Often, results are experienced within a minute, and then within an hour.

Keep reading to learn how to best place the patches and support your body’s natural flow of energy.

How to Place the IceWave Patches
Best Practices For Placing Patches with Any Method
Ensure clean, dry skin before application

Stay well hydrated

Only remove one of the sticker backings until you’ve found the most effective placement

In some cases, moving the patches as far from one another as you can while still experiencing a relief from pain is more effective than keeping them close together

If you don’t experience some pain relief within 10 seconds of placing the patch, try a new spot

Cautions: Remove immediately if you feel discomfort or skin irritation occurs. Do not reuse patch once removed from the skin, after final placement. For external use only. Do not ingest. Do not use on wounds or damaged skin. Ask a health professional before using if you have a health condition, any questions or concerns about your health. Do not use if pregnant or nursing. Not intended for use on children. Do not apply/use patches other than as directed. Product to be stored at room temperature.

A. Basic Placement Method (for All-Over Pain)
Use the tan patch on the left side of the body and the white patch on the right

Refer to the LifeWave website for examples of placement

B. Cross-Body Method (for Stubborn/Acute Pain)
Place the tan patch directly on the painful area, and the white patch on the opposite side of the joint or body

Common placement areas: knees, shoulders, lower back, neck, wrists, and feet & ankles

Example: for a headache place the tan patch on the left temple and the white patch on the right temple

C. Clock Method (For Troubleshooting Pain Relief)
Place the tan patch on the most intensely painful area and test the different positions for the white patch (above, below, left, and right) to find the most effective placement

Example: for knee pain – place the tan patch below the knee and the white above the knee OR place the tan patch on the inside of the knee and the white on the outside OR place the tan patch above the knee and the white patch as far down the leg as it will go while still remaining effective

Do not be afraid to test the placement – this is why you only remove one side of the backing at a time

Troubleshooting
Pair with other LifeWave patches to have long-lasting results

No longer experiencing pain relief from the IceWave patch?

Are you hydrated? Drink another glass of water either way

How long have you been wearing the patches? LifeWave’s patches are designed to be worn for 12 hours, then off for 12 hours

Has the pain moved? Sometimes once one pain spot is relieved another painful area pops up, try moving the patches or placing a second set

Common Questions about IceWave Patches
How long does it take to feel relief?
You should feel relief within 10 seconds of placement. The fullest extent of relief the patches will offer may take longer (as the body relaxes) and may grow over time.

Are there any side effects?
Increased relaxation and overall wellness are positive side effects. The only possible side effect is an over stimulation of the skin – in which case, remove the patches and rehydrate.

There are no chemicals or medications in the LifeWave patches. There are no contraindications for other medications/supplements.

Can I wear IceWave patches overnight?
Yes. Length of time on the IceWave patches is more relevant than time of usage.

Can I wear multiple patches at the same time?
Yes. Each patch is designed with different wavelengths, so they are stimulating different energies within the body and all work well together.

What if I’m not getting results?

Are you hydrated? Drink more water! In fact, drink a full 8-16oz of water before applying the Ice Wave patch to ensure they work.

Have you left the patches on for days? Eventually the crystalline structure that creates the phototherapy effect will melt down, the patches don’t last forever. If you’ve been wearing the patches for days, remove them and put on a fresh set.

Try moving them. Sometimes the patches actually are working, but when one painful spot is relieved (let’s say your hip was hurting at a 9) another less painful spot makes itself known (without the hip being in pain you now notice your knee is hurting at a 6). This moving effect is actually a positive sign! As intense pain is decreased, other injuries may make themself known, meaning your body is trying to get back into balance.

You can try adding another set to the new area in pain, or, if its only slightly painful, try working with it! You’ve likely been accommodating for an injured body part, if that body part is no longer inflamed, can you walk or move differently? Try it and find out!

How do IceWave Patches compare to other pain relief methods?
Most pain relief methods introduce chemical substances into the body – topically via skin ointments or orally through medications. Any time you introduce outside chemicals into your body you introduce the possibility of side effects. The IceWave patches are inducing your bodies natural energy flows to behave optimally again, no need to inroduce any foreign substances into the body.

Aren’t there other natural forms of pain relief?

Absolutely! Massage Therapy, craniosacral therapy and acupuncture are examples of excellent sources of natural pain relief.

The IceWave patches can be carried with you in your purse, making them much more accessible than seeking a practitioner. That being said, pairing patches with your existing natural wellness routine is a great idea!

Both my patches are white! Aeon and x39. Which do I place where for mod – severe shoulder/neck pain?

      Hi Esther,
Thanks for your question. Just to clarify: Aeon and X39 are not the same as IceWave, and they’re used differently.

For severe shoulder/neck pain, the product specifically intended for pain placement guidance is IceWave, which uses a pair of patches with directional placement (white/tan depending on the protocol).

If you only have Aeon + X39 (both white patches):

Aeon is generally used for calming inflammation/stress signaling and is commonly placed at CV6 (about 2 finger-widths below the navel) or sometimes at the back of the neck depending on the protocol being followed.
X39 is generally used for broader systemic regenerative/support purposes, not targeted pain relief, and is commonly placed at C7 (base of neck) or another standard protocol point.

For acute shoulder/neck pain, some users do place patches closer to the area of discomfort, but official placement guidance differs. For your patches, you could consider still using X39 at C7, and use Aeon for shoulder/neck pain at one of these places:

directly over the tender trigger point
      upper trapezius
along the medial border of the shoulder blade
base of skull / upper cervical area

Please update us with how your experiment goes.
